Cross Technologies Limited Liability Corporation is an Eorzean defense, arms, security, and advanced technologies company with worldwide interests. It was formed by the creative minds of Abigale Cross and Cemi Jinfeh and is headquartered in Limsa Lominsa, Vylbrand, in the Eorzean continent.Cross Technologies mission statement is to provide reliable products, solve complex challenges, advance scientific discovery, and deliver innovative solutions for the contemporary operative. They strive to provide bleeding edge weaponry and advanced countermeasures to help their customers keep people safe.CrossTech LLC is a character-based free company which focuses on the creative application of technology to create publicly products to add to our ever growing catalogue. The questionable morality of iron mongering, arms dealing, or gunrunning, etc., is a central thematic concept for the role-playing environment within the Free Company. As such, the company defies the classical concept of a character alignment. Rules

Maturity and Conflict Resolution

Members of Cross Technologies should conduct themselves with maturity. Specifically, members should be able to work through issues as they arise responsibly and respectfully. We understand that conflicts will happen. Thus, if any members are experiencing issues that they they are unable to resolve independently, we encourage them to reach out to an officer for assistance. This is not limited interpersonal conflict, but also for issues that a member may have with a storyline or their character’s place in the company.

  • Please understand that the primary role of the officers is not mediation. If necessary, an officer may step in to issue warnings to members who have been found to be disruptive.

  • Please note that members may be removed at the discretion of the officers if they exhibit continued patterns of disruptive behavior.

  • We expect a certain level of respectfulness from our members. As such, we ask members to refrain from speaking negatively about other players or FCs in our channels. We also ask our members to be mindful of others and behave in ways that reflect positively on our community.

Boundaries and Privacy

Thematically, the Free Company exists in the hazy and sometimes bleak morality of the world. Violent and sexual themes may come up during the course of our plots and general roleplaying. Members are expected to communicate Out Of Character if a particular scene makes them uncomfortable.
Once expressed, their limits are to be respected and a possible resolution is to be discussed Out Of Character. Private RP should be kept behind closed doors or in private channels. No one is expected to RP situations that they do not want to.

IC / OOC Separation

As a morally ambiguous free company, characters may regularly be placed in stressful and dire situations during the course of roleplaying plots. It is imperative that members are capable of keeping "In Character" and "Out Of Character" separate. If this is an issue, we implore members to contact an officer to resolve the conflict.

Small Scale and Creatively Driven

Cross Technologies LLC has grand ambitions, but we currently seek to build our Free Company around a small and dedicated playerbase, such that each member receives may feel able to provide substantial input to the company as a whole. While we would love to accept all people who are interested in joining us, we at this time seeking those who fulfil our personal ideals in terms of creativity, drive, and personability. All recruits will join the Free Company and enter a mandatory trial period. This trial period allows us to get to know one another and ensure the Company is a good fit for the recruit, and the recruit is a good fit for the company.

In Game Expectations

Trial members should make an effort to come online regularly. Most of our plot development happens on a day to day basis, so we encourage members to be around for day to day RP. Trial members should not hesitate to ask if anyone wants to RP and/or reach out to other members to schedule RP, if availability is limited.We run mature content and expect a certain level of maturity/professionalism amongst our characters. As such, unless there is a well understood rationale for it, we will not be accepting characters under the age of 21. We aim to remain realistic in the sense that we expect a character's skills to be reinforced with experience.

Out Of Game Expectations

We seek members who are capable of creating their own RP without assistance from leadership in providing plots. The role of our FC storylines is to supplement member RP, and not be the exclusive reason for membership activity. We strive to cultivate a community of characters who seek one another out for RP.Cross Technologies LLC is lore flexible. We interpret this to mean that players have broad discretion in determining their character's abilities. However, we do ask that players self regulate to a degree that matches the other members of our community. We will not hesitate to invoke GM privileged to regulate matters related to official Free Company canon and plots.We look positively on characters who appear balanced with meaningful flaws, and are less likely to approve of characters who effortlessly can perform significant feats across a breadth of areas.Interaction with the Free Company Community Discord is a requirement to maintain membership beyond the trial period. It is difficult to get to know people when they cannot interact with the greater community out of the game.We encourage trial member to reach out to an officer if there is an Out Of Character reason why they may not be active for any period of time, as activity level is a determining factor in whether a prospective member is a good fit for the community.
Given the nature of our content and the general level of maturity we expect from our members, we ask that people who apply be at least 21 years of age.
